welcome to the on-line portfolio detailing some of the photographic work by mike hamilton, who has been taking photographs for a number of years using traditional slr cameras.

in 2003 he decided to move away from these methods to concentrate solely on digital imagery utilising digital cameras and computer software to subtly enhance the images. thus, creating and manipulating visually diverse photographs which, by using traditional darkroom techniques would have proved to be difficult to control and produce.

he has photographed in numerous locations across the globe, but has recently discovered the delights of the west coast of the irish republic and the middle east.

mike hamilton particularly enjoys photographing landscapes, textures and patterns as well as the “unusual”. he is also "a sucker" when it comes to sunsets. currently he is working towards submitting a selection of his photographic work to gain his royal photographic society licentiateship (lrps).

regularly exhibiting his work throughout east anglia, he lives in semi-rural tranquillity in thetford, norfolk.
